Ferrari will show the replacement for the Enzo supercar to a select group of current and potential customers at the end of 2012, Ferrari Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said. “We want to surprise people not just in terms of price but also with the car itself,” Montezemolo told Automotive News Europe on the sidelines of the Geneva motor show last week. A technology called HCCI improves fuel economy 15 percent and releases fewer emissions by using a combustion process similar to what is used in diesel powerplants. General Motors continues work on the project, which could be applied across a range of engine sizes and used with other advanced fuel-saving technologies to help the company comply with the proposed new mileage and emissions targets announced Tuesday by President Barack Obama.
Production Peugeot RCZ R (pictured) revealed
Peugeot promised a more powerful RCZ – the RCZ R – at the Paris Motor Show last year, and subsequently confirmed it would arrive at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Now, with the FoS kicking off today with the Moving Motor Show, Peugeot has revealed photos of the production RCZ R – painted in sporty red – and given us some proper specs. As we already knew, the RCZ R makes use of the PSA/BMW 1.6 litre turbo petrol the regular RCZ already has, but in the R’s case Peugeot has managed to turn the wick up to 11 and delivered 270bhp.
